  400 years ago, Kanazawa was a fief of the powerful Maeda Family. It held the Godoh Temple since the 16th century and was known as a town of influence along with Edo, Osaka and Kyoto. Even now Kanazawa has kept its name as a region of many abundances and has successfully protected it's architectural charms. From the warrior lord quarter to the vivid merchants quarter, a walk in the city is a time slip to the beauties of ancient Japan.
Kanazawa has always been renowned for its cuisine- blessed by the close proximity to a bountiful sea and surrounded by mountains which yield "Kagah vegetables famous throughout Japan. Rice wine and Soy sauce are also specialty of Kanazawa that can be found in the historical 280-years-old Omicho market.
